How the leaderboard works
One point per correct answer, the top 10 shown, what happens if fewer than two people play, and your shareable rank card, explained plainly with a worked example.
Every group that uses a Loukya quiz bot gets a leaderboard. It shows who answered the most questions correctly. This guide explains exactly how it is worked out: the rule is simple, and knowing it makes the number on the screen make sense.
How you earn points
Every time the bot sends a question, itâs a Telegram poll. You tap an answer. The bot checks it the moment you tap:
- Correct answer â 1 point.
- Wrong answer, or no answer â 0 points.
Thatâs the whole rule. There is no bonus for answering fast, and no penalty beyond simply not scoring that point. Ten correct answers out of ten questions is 10 points. Ten correct out of twenty is still 10 points: the leaderboard counts correct answers, not accuracy percentage. (Your accuracy percentage is a separate number, and you can see it with /myscore.)
How the leaderboard itself is built
The bot adds up everyoneâs points in your group for the current period, then shows the top 10 people, highest score first. If two people have the same points, whoever needed fewer answers to get them comes first; if thatâs equal too, whoever has played in the group longer.
Only your own groupâs members are compared. A leaderboard in one group never includes anyone from a different group, even if both use the same bot.
Worked example
Say five people in a group answer questions over the day:
| Member | Correct answers | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Asha | 14 | 14 |
| Ravi | 9 | 9 |
| Meena | 9 | 9 |
| Karthik | 3 | 3 |
| Divya | 0 | 0 |
The leaderboard would show Asha first with 14, then Ravi and Meena together at 9, then Karthik at 3. Divya answered nothing correctly, so she doesnât appear on the board, but she is still a member of the group, and starts fresh the next period.
What if almost nobody plays?
The leaderboard needs at least two people to have scored a point that period. If only one person (or nobody) answered correctly, the bot skips posting a leaderboard that day rather than showing a list of one name. Nothing is lost: quizzes keep arriving as normal, and the next period is judged fresh.
Daily, or weekly?
On five of the six bots (APPSC, TGPSC, General Studies from GS by Loukya, Aptitude and English), the leaderboard posts once a day, and everyoneâs points reset for the next day. On SSC, RRB, Police Prep, it posts once a week instead, at a gentler pace. Either way, an admin can turn the leaderboard on or off in /settings, sent inside the group.
Your rank card
Under every leaderboard is a đ¸ My Rank Card button. If youâre on that board, tapping it opens your private chat with the bot and sends you a picture of your place: your rank out of everyone who qualified (for example â#3 of 22â), your accuracy, and the groupâs name. Save it, or forward it to WhatsApp or Instagram. Nothing is posted in the group, and if youâre new to the bot it starts for you first.
The card always shows your place on that board, even if you tap the next day, for up to a week. If youâre not on the board, the button just shows a short note. Answer a few more quizzes and you can make the next one.
Checking your own score
You donât have to wait for the leaderboard to post. Send /myscore to the bot at any time, in the group or privately, to see your own stats. Anyone in the group can also send /toppers to see the current standings on demand, without waiting for the scheduled post.
You might also ask
How do I check my performance?
/myscore for your own stats. A leaderboard goes up in your group each day (once a week on SSC, RRB, Police Prep) so you can see where you rank, and it costs nothing. Anyone in the group can also send /toppers for the same standings at any moment, without waiting for it.Why didn't my group get a leaderboard?
What does the Settings Pass unlock?
/settings (active hours, leaderboard on/off, Delete Old Quizzes, group mock tests on/off, Mock Test Needs, /myscore in group and language) is free and stays free, and so is /toppers, which posts the group's current standings whenever anyone asks. Any admin can see what the paid settings are set to; the pass is only needed to change them. It is sold for 1 month or 1 year; the group is reminded three days before it ends, and when it ends the settings keep their values but the paid ones can't be changed until it's bought again. A pass bought before these plans began (September 2026) never expires. A pass bought for a group in any of our bots works for that group in all our bots added to it. Send /settingspass in the group to see whether it has the pass and until when, or to buy it.
